We realise that you probably have quite a few questions running around your heads leading up to the big day, so we have compiled a list of answers that will hopefully help with a number of them.

  • ceremony
  • we do not have a civil ceremonies license however couples are more than welcome to have a reading or blessing under the big oak in the clearing of the wood, ceremonies can be conducted by a family member or friend, or we can recommend various celebrants

  • exclusivity
  • we only run one event at a time, so you have sole use of the grounds for the duration of the event

  • capacity
  • the total guest capacity on site at any one time is 150, this allows ample room for car parking, camping and seating guests in the marquee

  • viewing
  • viewing is by appointment only and sadly we don’t do open days as we would prefer to discuss your requirements on an individual one to one basis

  • access
  • for saturday weddings access is from midday friday through to midday sunday, the friday is for the set up only, midweek weddings are usually held on a wednesday so access would be from midday tuesday through to midday thursday

  • camping
  • there is no charge for camping, however you may want to hire in a toilet cube for your campers, we can arrange this for you, overnight camping is just for the night of the wedding day and not the set up day

  • music
  • live bands and dj’s are welcome, they will need to set up in the main marquee and can run up until 11.00pm, after this point guests often sit around the camp fire and maybe play acoustic

  • marquee
  • the marquee is 21m in length and 11.5m in width with 3x 5.5m upright centre poles, the side walls are 2.2m in height

  • furniture
  • the round tables are 168cm in diameter and can seat up to 10 guests, the trestle tables are 183cm in length and 76cm wide and can seat 3 guests down each side

  • catering
  • we can recommend a list of caterers who are familiar with our venue or you can use your own if you wish, we recommend that your caterers contact us directly to discuss the power and water requirements

  • food vans
  • you are welcome to have food vans on site, we don’t allow vehicles on the grass at the front of the marquee so would need to be sited at the rear or side of the marquee, access for vans is via the service entrance

  • luxury toilet
  • the luxury toilet block is for the wedding day only and comes included in venue hire cost, an additional toilet cube may be needed for campers

  • lighting
  • there is lighting provided throughout the venue, however you are also welcome to add additional low wattage lighting if you wish

  • pets
  • we have wildlife living in the woods and lakes so close family pets are welcome only by agreement

  • rubbish and waste
  • everything brought onto the site will need to be removed at the end of the event unless otherwise agreed
