The venue is set within ten acres of mature oak, silver birch and hazel with a variety of open clearings and picturesque lakes and a fabulous treehouse to relax within and gaze upon the days festivities.

    Alongside everything that you would expect from an outdoor wedding venue we also offer a range of more quirky additions. You can drift away in one of our suspended sofas, levitate on the seesaw armchairs or stroll through a labyrinth of illuminated pathways and discover a variety of lighting installations that only come to life once the sun goes down.

  • Located on the family farm near the village of Five Oak Green in Kent, Whetsted Woods as they are officially known has always been close to my heart ever since l was a child and learnt that trees were made for climbing and wood was made to make stuff out of. It is probably for this reason, rather than careful market observation and demand recognition alas, that the wedding venue came into being…

    …myself (aka Sam) and a good tree climbing friend of mine by the name of Kelly set about building a prototype treehouse in the woods on the farm with the idea of starting a treehouse design and construction business in mind, which we duly did. The byproduct of now having a treehouse in the back yard lead to having some mad parties and after a few of them friends would ask if they could get married in the woods, I later put two and 2 together and came up with a wedding venue...

    …in time l also discovered that you can make stuff out of materials other than wood which resulted in the somewhat slightly quirky lighting and other installations that you can see in and around the woods today.
